Swansea jetty last week. The water was very still and calm and it was a nice evening until someone yelled at me to “keep that f***ing thing away from me” or they’d knock it out of the sky.

I was finishing up so I just brought it back and left. But it was over the water and much nearer to me than anyone on the jetty. Plus it’s a public space.

If the noise was annoying him, well he was making more noise than the drone was, I’m surprised he could even hear it. And if he thought I was filming him, I’m always happy to explain what I’m doing if someone asks.

I’m just tired of people seeing a camera or a drone and assuming I’m doing something wrong. Like that time at Toronto when I was working for a client and people thought I must be photographing children. 🙄

The truth is that most pilots and photographers know the rules and stick to them, it’s the few people doing the wrong thing that give the rest of us a bad name.
