   i um, thought you might be interested in this. i have a post where bloggers can submit their blog url and a small description of what the blog is all about. i’d be glad if you could come over and submit yours while i get my diy blogroll done. here is the url:

   CJ: Thanks for the comment. I’m not sure how much help I can be, but if you’re looking for moderns classics or something like that, I can recommend Kazuo Ishiguro’s Never Let Me Go; it’s beautifully written and a great read. And you couldn’t go wrong with Margaret Atwood’s Oryx and Crake; it takes a hard look at the impact of population and social classes, and just how far science can go before we start losing ourselves.

   If I had to pick one, Cormac McCarthy’s The Road is a masterpiece and my pick for best novel of the last 30 years. If you want to know about the modern thinking in fiction, The Road is a must read. Hope that helps.
